Phoenixville Man Charged With Hammer Attack

According to Phoenixville Police, the victim was bleeding heavily.

A 31-year-old Phoenixville man was arrested last weekend after he attacked an acquaintance with a hammer, police say.

On Friday at 8:20 p.m., Phoenixville Police were dispatched to the 500 block of Bridge Street for an assault with reported injuries. According to court documents, once on the scene, police spoke with the victim, who was bleeding heavily from his head and face.

The victim told the PPD that his attacker, Sergio Ramos, struck him multiple times in the face and head with a hammer, police say. While the motive of the attack is unclear, the victim told police that Ramos was in his Bridge Street home, and when he asked him to leave, the man pulled a hammer out of his pocket and assaulted him with it.
