Phoenixville Police Blotter: Daughter Slaps Mother

Domestic Dispute

According to Phoenixville police, on August 19 at 1:21 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Bridge Street for a domestic dispute. A woman told officers that her fiancée had pushed her at Club 212, after an argument. The officers pressed the woman for more information, but she became belligerent and they left the scene when they received another call.

Criminal Mischief

On August 22 at 2:46 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Main Street for a report of criminal mischief. Upon arriving at the scene, a man reported that sometime the previous evening a vandal had broken the passenger side window of his Chevrolet Traverse. Nothing was taken from the vehicle.

On August 25 at 7:30 a.m., a woman called Phoenixville police to report that a resident of the 500 block of West High Street was threatening to kill himself by intentionally overdosing on medication. When police and EMS responded to the scene, the man explained that he did not intend to hurt himself, and that he just needed help with his cocaine addiction.

Theft from Vehicle

A 34-year-old resident of the 300 block of 1st Avenue told police that someone stole his Droid from his Jeep the evening of August 24. The man valued the phone at $400.

Theft from Vehicle

A 36-year old resident of the 300 block of Hall Street told police that someone stole four undisclosed items from his Chevrolet Traverse overnight on the evening of August 24, Phoenixville Police are reporting. The value of the stolen items exceeded $200.

Man Skips Tab at Starr Diner

According to Phoenixville Police, on August 21 at 8:12 a.m., an employee of the Starr Diner reported to police that a 49-year-old Phoenixville man ate breakfast at the diner and left without paying his tab. When police contacted the man, he was apologetic: he had a lot on his mind, he said, and he would pay the diner back immediately. The total bill was $13.08.

Stolen Ray-Bans

A Phoenixville woman told police that overnight on August 18 her car and her husband’s car were broken into. The cars were parked in front of their residence on the 100 block of West Phoenix Drive. Nothing was taken from her vehicle, but two pairs of Ray-Ban sunglasses, each valued at $200, were taken from her husband’s car.

Husband Steals Car Keys from Wife

On August 19 at 11:47 a.m., a Phoenixville woman told police that her husband had taken her car keys after an argument. The woman wanted the police to arrest him for theft. The police explained that it doesn’t work that way. It was a civil, not a criminal matter.

Mother Slaps Daughter

On August 19 at 2 p.m., a Phoenixville woman told police that her 19-year-old daughter had slapped her in the face following an argument. There were no visible injuries, but the responding officer recommended a restraining order.
