Phoenixville Police Blotter: Fight on Jackson Street

The following arrest information was supplied by the Phoenixville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The following incidents were reported between June 23 and 25.

Fight on Jackson Street

Police observed two females fighting in the 100 block of Jackson Street on June 24 at 7:19 p.m.

The females were identified as Kelly Bainbridge, 31, Phoenixville, and Zoe Stangler, 28, of Spring City. Both were arrested and cited.

Hit and Run Crash on Taylor Alley

Police observed a yellow Suzuki motorcycle crash heading westbound in the 200 block of Taylor Alley on June 24 at 11:10 p.m.

The motorcycle slid down the alley, and the operator fled into the yards on Mill Street. Police checked the owner’s address and found out he was in jail. Police couldn’t locate the responsible person that night.

Borough Vehicle Strikes Car

A borough-owned truck was involved in an accident on June 24 at 3:10 p.m.

A borough employee was driving a yellow 2002 Ford F-250 owned by the borough west on Church Street and reportedly told police he tried to make the light at Bridge Street but wasn’t able. He said he stopped partially in the intersection and then backed up and struck a 1998 Honda Civic. 

The Civic was sitting stationary at the intersection, according to police. The accident was listed as non-reportable and there were no injuries. Information was exchanged. Neither vehicle had to be towed.

Safe Stolen on Westridge Gardens Way

A woman reported that her father’s small safe was stolen from a home in the 700 block of Westridge Gardens Way.

The theft was reported on June 23 at 8:05 p.m. The safe contained a wallet, $100 cash, blank checks, a credit card and a Social Security card. Police were investigating.

Drug Paraphernalia on the French Creek Bike Trail

On June 23 at 6:30 p.m., police reported finding a marijuana pipe on Joshua Kahn, 21, of Collegeville.

Kahn was scanned and released pending a summons.

Handicapped Placard Reported Stolen

A woman reported that someone stole a handicapped placard from her vehicle.

The woman lives in the 300 block of Washington Avenue. She was unsure where the theft occurred. The theft was reported on June 23 at 6:47 p.m.

Money Stolen from Wallet on High Street

A man reported that $840 was taken from his wallet.

The incident was reported on June 24 at 11 a.m. The incident occurred in the 100 block of High Street. Police were investigating.

Bike Stolen at PAHS

A man called to report that his son’s bicycle was stolen from Phoenixville High School on June 23 before 4 p.m.

There were no suspects, and police completed a stolen bicycle report.

Public Drunkenness on Prospect Street

Katie Blain, 24, was attempting to drive her vehicle in the 200 block of Prospect Street at 2:15 a.m. on June 25.

Police cited her for public drunkenness.

Open Container on Bridge Street

Police observed Tommy Mitchell, 49, of Phoenixville, standing on a stoop in the 100 block of Bridge Street drinking from a red plastic cup.

Police reported that the cup contained beer. Mitchell was cited for an open container violation. The incident occurred on June 23 at 10:11 p.m.

Car Egged at Bridge Street and Columbia Avenue

A man reported that an egg hit his car near the intersection of Bridge Street and Columbia Avenue on June 23 shortly before 10:55 p.m.

Police checked the area but were unable to locate those responsible.

Public Urination in the Taylor Alley Lot

Grant Sturgeon, 22, of Kimberton, was cited for disorderly conduct after police say he was urinating in the Taylor Alley municipal lot on June 24 shortly before 1:32 a.m.
