Phoenixville Police Blotter: Hospital Thrift Shop Burglarized

Booze Burgled

Police were told that 17 bottles of alcohol valued at $350 were stolen from the Santa Anna Italian Club at 442 Dayton Street on September 25 sometime between 12 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. The burglar, its believed, forced their way though a small window in the rear of a building and entered the building through the men’s bathroom.

Woman’s Car Vandalized, Again

A resident of the 1200 block of Monroe Street told police that she found the rear window to her Ford Explorer open on September 25 at 6 a.m. On September 15, the woman had told police that, while her car was unlocked, someone had rifled through the glove box. On neither occasion was anything missing from the vehicle.

Stolen Bike

A resident of the 300 block of Quick Street told police that his bike was stolen off his porch sometime on September 25, The bike, red in color with silver handlebars anda scratch on the seat, is valued at $70.

Kids on the Roof

On September 25 at 8:10 p.m., police received word that there were five juveniles standing on the Print Shop roof at 244 Bridge Street and shouting at passersby. When police arrived on the scene, the roof was empty.

Gun Stolen from Car

On September 25 at 9:19 p.m., a Church Street resident told police that a Taurus .380 pistol had been stolen from his Chevrolet Impala while it was parked in municipal lot #1 on Prospect Street. The owner reported that he last saw the gun on September 23. He kept it under the driver’s seat.

Women Asleep Behind Bar

A 23-year-old Phoenixville woman was found asleep behind Club 212 on September 23 at 12:32 a.m. The woman was arrested for public drunkenness, taken to the station, and was later released to her father.

Shots Fired

Police were dispatched to South Second Avenue on September 23 at 8:33 p.m. for reports of gunshots. Upon arrival, police found Robert Proietto, 57, and Wendella Gail Vinal, 39, standing inside an open garage. Proietto admitted to firing a handgun. Three handguns, none registered to Proietto or Vinal, were located and seized as evidence. Charges are pending.

Marijuana Arrest

On September 22 at 4:39 p.m., police stopped a blue Ford Focus on Fillmore Street and Township Line Road for lane violations. The officer noted a scent of marijuana coming from the vehicle and the vehicle’s operator, Brandon Petiet, 20-years-old and of Linfield, admitted to having a small amount of marijuana in the center console. He was taken into custody without incident. Charges are pending.

Hospital Thrift Shop Burglarized

On September 20 at 4:48 p.m., the Phoenixville Hospital Thrift Shop was burglarized. No more information is available at this time.
