Phoenixville Police Blotter: Man Breaks Hospital Window, Ends Up in ER

The following arrest information was supplied by the Phoenixville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The following incidents were reported between July 3 and July 9.

Man Breaks Window at Hospital, Ends Up in Hospital ER

An emergency room nurse at Phoenixville Hospital reported to police that Shane Carter, 20, of Spring City, came into the ER escorted by security on July 4 at 2:35 a.m.

Police reported that Carter had a deep cut on his right arm. Police said Carter suffered the injury when he broke out the front glass on the sliding door on the north side of the hospital.

Police said Carter severely damaged the sliding door. Carter was charged with criminal mischief, public drunkenness and underage drinking.

Man Crashes into Parked Car in Front of Police Station

Hector Garza-Icep, 38, was found behind the wheel of a 1992 Honda sedan after an accident in front of the Phoenixville Police Station at 140 Church St., according to a report.

Garza-Icep crashed into the back of a parked vehicle. Prior to the crash, witnesses told police the vehicle was weaving erratically.

The accident occurred shortly before 3:20 p.m. on July 3. Police reported finding broken beer bottles on the floor of the front passenger side of the Honda. 

Garza-Icep was transported to Phoenixville Hospital by ambulance and, according to police, he consented to having blood drawn to see if he was driving under the influence.

Woman Arrested on Bench Warrants, Drug Possession on Morris Street

Police arrested Stephanie Rosado, 36, on active bench warrants in the 200 block of Morris Street on July 5 at 10:38 a.m.

When arresting Rosado, police reported finding a glass crack pipe, a needle and “assorted drug paraphernalia.”

Rosado was charged with drug possession and possession of paraphernalia and she was sent to Chester County Prison.

Scam Artist Tricks Cashier Out of Money at Giant on Nutt Road

Police were told by an employee of the Giant Food Store at 700 Nutt Road that a “scam artist” tricked a cashier out of $100 while making a purchase.

The incident occurred shortly before 2:32 p.m. on July 6.

Bike Stolen on Elm Avenue

A woman reported that her son left his mountain bike in the 500 block of Elm Avenue for a few days prior to July 8.

When he returned to retrieve the bike from where he left it leaning against a house, it was gone. The theft was reported on July 8 at 11:01 p.m.

DUI on Nutt Road

On July 6 at 9:55 p.m., police responded to a report of an erratic driver who was tailgating and swerving.

In the 600 block of Nutt Road, an officer stopped a car driven by Jenna Park, 33, and she was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

Park was charged with DUI and careless driving.

Public Drunkenness, Underage Drinking on Bridge Street

Police charged Jeremy William Neizer, 20, with public drunkenness and underage drinking after he was reportedly found lying in the grass in the 100 block of Bridge Street on July 8 at 12:10 a.m.

Public Urination at Phoenix Cleaners

Kevin Love, 23, of Phoenixville, was cited by police for reportedly urinating in public at 330 Bridge St. on July 7 at 1:17 a.m.

Trespassing Reported on Walnut Street

Police responded to a report that juveniles were jumping off a roof into a Dumpster on the 300 block of Walnut Street on July 7 shortly before 9:21 p.m.

When police arrived, the juveniles were gone.

Cola Thrown at Car on Emmett Street

A woman reported that someone drove by in a minivan and threw two “cola-type” beverages on to a car parked in the 300 block of Emmett Street.

The incident was reported on July 5 at 12:22 a.m.

Nail Gun Stolen From Truck on Grant Street

A man reported that during the overnight hours on July 6, someone stole a nail gun and case from his truck, which was parked in the unit block of East Grant Street.

Flash Drive Stolen on Winding River Lane

A man reported that someone broke into his unlocked vehicle and stole a flash drive and $20 in change.

The theft occurred in the 1000 block of Winding River Lane before 4:33 p.m. on July 3.

iPod Stolen on Winding River Lane

A thief stole an iPod Touch, headphones and change from unlocked vehicles parked in the 1000 block of Winding River Lane.

The items were valued at $300. The thefts occurred sometime before 12:06 p.m. on July 3.
