Phoenixville Police Blotter: Multiple Vehicle Break-ins Reported on April 17

The following reports are from April 15-18.

Several Vehicles Broken Into Throughout the Borough

On April 17, police received multiple complaints of vehicle break-ins throughout the borough. Several of the thefts were from unlocked vehicles. The reports were:

  • Unit Block, Robarts Drive: An unknown thief stole $500 to $600 from a wallet located in an unlocked vehicle between 11:30 a.m. April 16 and 10:13 a.m. April 17.
  • 100 Block, Fifth Avenue: Someone removed a cashbox containing $15 and a black iPod from an unlocked vehicle parked on Fifth Avenue. The vehicle was parked at approximately 10:45 p.m. on April 16, and the victim discovered the theft at approximately 10 a.m. on April 17.
  • 100 Block, Carson Street: In this case, the property was returned. A victim stated that a silver bracelet worth $20 and a set of iPod speakers were removed from an unlocked vehicle before 1:30 p.m. on April 17. The victim identified the speakers, which were found in another vehicle and returned.
  • 100 Block, Carson Street: Here, it was found property with a vehicle break-in. An unknown person went through a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Carson Street before 1:45 a.m. on April 17. The victim found a pack of six AA Duracell batteries.

Assault on First Avenue

A woman’s husband arrived home to find another man in his home with his wife. He punched the man in the back shortly before 11 p.m. on April 17.

Police said the victim declined medical treatment. Charges were pending at the time of the report.

Terroristic Threats at Phoenixville Area High School

A 14-year-old male allegedly told a 15-year-old female he was going to kill her.

The incident occurred at Phoenixville Area High School before 7:19 p.m. April 15. According to the report, the victim did not wish to press charges. The male’s father was contacted. A copy of the report was sent to juvenile probation.

Criminal Mischief on Dayton Street

A man reported hearing a loud crash and the he found his first-floor window broken shortly before 4:35 a.m. on April 17.

Police confirmed the window was broken from the outside, but no entry was made. The victim did not see who broke the window but named a suspect. Police were unable to locate the suspect in the area.

Public Urination in the Prospect Street Lot

John Victor Lehr, 22, was seen by police urinating between parked cars at approximately 2:05 p.m. on April 16.

Lehr was cited for disorderly conduct and released.

Bench Warrant Stop Leads to Drug Arrest

Police stopped Brian Glenn Delanoy, 25, for a traffic violation in the 600 block of Nutt Road at 11 p.m. on April 17.

He was arrested for an active bench warrant. A search yielded a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to the report.

Burglary of Copper Wire on Vanderslice Street

A thief removed copper pipes from the basement of a vacant residence in the 500 block of Vanderslice Street.

The burglary was reported on April 15 at 12:30 p.m.

Open Container on Prospect Street

At 9 p.m. on April 17, Sean Derek Tonkinson, 32, was spotted by police with an open can of Coors Light beer in the 200 block of Prospect Street.

Before police could stop him, Tonkinson reportedly dropped the beer and began walking down Bank Street, where he was stopped and cited for violating the borough’s open container ordinance.

DUI for Man Driving Sans Headlights on Nutt Road

Police saw Leonard E. Smith, 22, driving without headlights and crossing the yellow line.

At 2:43 a.m. on April 16, Smith was pulled over in the 700 block of Nutt Road, where he was arrested for driving under the influence and given a blood test.

At 4:30 a.m., police heard from state parole, who said Smith violated special parole conditions and should be detained.  Smith was scheduled to be arraigned the following day.

Hit and Run on Gay Street

Someone struck a parked vehicle and fled in the Phoenixville Area High School parking lot on April 15 before 3:44 p.m.

Police reported damage to the hood and front fender. The victim had no idea who hit her vehicle.

DUI on Main Street

Police stopped a vehicle driven by Shannon Small-Frampton, 27, for swerving in the 700 block of Main Street on April 17 at 2:58 a.m.

Police took Small-Frampton into custody for driving under the influence and a blood test was administered.

Criminal Mischief on Mowere Road

A public works employee observed a two males cutting a chain set up at Veterans Memorial Park on Mowere Road.

The vehicle involved was registered to a Schwenksville man, but the public works department did not wish to pursue charges. The incident occurred prior to 4 p.m. on April 15.

Stolen Delivery Box on Church Street

A thief removed a package delivered by UPS containing teas, candles and candle holders from the 200 block of Church Street.

The theft occurred between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. April 15. The contents were valued at $119.75.

Bicycle Hit and Run on Gateway Pharmacy

While a woman’s car was parked at Gateway Pharmacy, 165 Nutt Rd., an unknown juvenile crashed his bicycle into her car and fled the scene.

This occurred before 3:13 p.m. on April 15, and there was little to no damage to the vehicle.
