Phoenixville Police Blotter: Naked Man in Woods Near French Creek Learning Center

The following arrest information was supplied by the Phoenixville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The following incidents were reported between June 2 and June 4. 

Naked Man in Woods Near French Creek Learning Center 

An employee of French Creek Learning Center reported to police on June 3 at approximately 10:15 a.m. that a naked male was in the woods behind French Creek Learning Center at 219 Dayton St.

Police spoke with Jesse Brown, 57, who was identified as the naked man. Brown was cited for disorderly conduct. 

Marijuana Arrest at Main and Bridge Streets

Shawn Chester, 36, was stopped by police on June 2 at 3:30 p.m.

The registration and Chester’s license were suspended, according to police, and the 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix did not have insurance.

As police were checking the vehicle before it was towed, a small amount of marijuana was found in the center console. Chester was arrested and charges were going to follow.

Laptop Stolen on Church Street

A gray Dell laptop was stolen from a church in the 100 block of Church Street sometime between 12 p.m. and 12:55 p.m. on June 3.

Employees went out for lunch and when they returned, they noticed one laptop missing. A luncheon was being held nearby and many people had access to the room where the laptops were kept.

Dumping on Marshall Street

Someone reported that trash is being dumped in the back yard of an abandoned residence in the 200 block of Marshall Street. 

A search of the bags uncovered mail from a nearby resident. Police were investigating.

Hit and Run on Bridge Street

A 2006 Porsche struck a 1993 Toyota, which was legally parked in the 100 block of Bridge Street on June 3 shortly before 8:18 p.m.

The driver of the Porsche left the scene without leaving any information. Police identified the driver and sent him a request for information.

Public Urination on Ashland Street

Sean Butler, 25, was cited for disorderly conduct after police reported seeing him urinating at the Ashland Street pump house on June 3 shortly before 11:30 p.m.

Public Drunkenness on Prospect Street

According to a police report, William Kukulka, 34, was visibly intoxicated, yelling and causing a disturbance in the 200 block of Prospect Street on June 4 shortly after midnight.

Police cited Kukulka and he was released.

Public Drunkenness on Taylor Alley

Joshua Reed Yohnke, 24, of Spring City, was cited after police reportedly saw him highly intoxicated and staggering toward his vehicle in the Taylor Alley municipal lot on June 4 at 12:39 a.m.

Publice Drunkenness at Main and Price Streets

Police observed two highly intoxicated males lying in the street near Main and Price streets on June 4 at 1:42 a.m.

Stanley Ronald Lightcap III, 30, Pottstown, and Eric C. Tucker, 29, Pottstown, were arrested for public drunkenness.

Theft at the 7-11

An unknown thief took oranges, orange juice and possibly sandwiches from the 7-11 store at 200 Nutt Rd. shortly before 1:49 a.m. on June 4.

The thief left and headed toward Boston Market. A man called and said he was being accused of stealing and wanted to meet officers. Then, the man stated he had warrants out for him and would rather talk by phone. When officers tried the number provided, the phone was shut off.

Police were investigating.

Public Drunkenness and Open Container on Bridge Street

Timothy Glenn Snider, 49, of Coatesville, was drinking a Four Loko on the public sidewalk in the 200 block of Bridge Street and harassing people walking down the sidewalk at approximately 10:37 p.m. on June 4.

Snider was cite for public drunkenness and an open container violation.

Theft Reported on Parkview Drive

A woman reported several pieces of jewelry missing from her apartment in the 500 block of Parkview Drive.

The woman told police she last saw the items in March and noticed they were missing on May 27. There were no signs of forced entry into the apartment. 

Trees Pulled Out on Main Street 

A small holly tree was pulled out of a yard in the 200 block of Main Street and placed on top of a neighbor's car. 

The incident was reported at 9:13 a.m. on June 4. The tree was replanted and the car wasn't damaged.
