Phoenixville Police Blotter: Two Burglaries Reported in the Area

The following arrest information was supplied by the Phoenixville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The following incidents were reported between June 26 and June 28.

Chainsaw, Other Items Stolen from the 500 Block of Bridge Street

Someone broke into a maintenance building in the 500 block of Bridge Street and stole a Stihl chainsaw, two handsaws and an unknown amount of light bulbs.

The thefts occurred between June 22 at 4 p.m. and June 28 at 9:15 a.m.

The stolen items were valued between $300 and $400. A side window was broken out and the burglar likely gained entry that way, police reported.

The burglary was reported on June 28 at 9:16 a.m.

Burglary on Eland Downe

A man reported coming home from work to find his home burglarized on June 27 at 6:38 p.m.

The home is in the 2400 block of Eland Downe. A Sony Playstation 3, video games, DVDs and jewelry were among the stolen items. Police didn’t see any signs of forced entry. The burglary occurred after 6:30 a.m. on June 27.

Marijuana Possession on High Street

Kevin Bernard Heck, 31, was seen rolling a marijuana blunt on cement steps in the 100 block of High Street on June 26 at approximately 10:03 p.m., according to police.

When he saw police, Heck dumped the blunt over a fence, police reported. Heck was charged with marijuana possession, tampering with evidence, paraphernalia possession and drug possession.

Unwelcome Camper on Fillmore Street

On June 26 at 5:35 p.m., police responded to a report of a homeless man camping on a property in the 200 block of Fillmore Street.

Police told the man to pack up and move on. Later in the day, the man reportedly harassed a woman near the property, and he fled the scene.

Possible Trespassing on Main Street

Blankets were found in the parking lot and rear yard of a building in the 800 block of Main Street.

A homeless person may have been sleeping in the playhouse at the rear of the building, according to police. The incident was reported on 8:42 p.m. on June 28.

Car Window Broken with Pellet or BB on Starr Street

A driver’s side window of a 2005 Subaru parked in the 700 block of Starr Street was shattered during the overnight hours on June 26.

Police reported that the damage appeared to have been done by a BB or pellet gun.

Trimmer Stolen on Railroad Street

A man called to report that when he went to use his green Craftsman gas-powered trimmer, it was missing.

The theft was reported on June 27 at 7:44 a.m. and occurred in the 100 block of Railroad Street.

Attempted Theft from Vehicle on First Avenue

A man reported that someone entered his 2007 Ford parked in the 300 block of First Avenue and went through the glove box.

The door may have been unlocked because there was no damage. The attempted theft was reported on June 27 at 10:07 a.m.

Attempted Theft from Vehicle on Lincoln Avenue

A man said someone rifled through his vehicle, which was parked in the 200 block of Lincoln Avenue.

The attempted theft occurred between 12 a.m. and 6 a.m. on June 27. There was no evidence of forced entry.

Stolen Bike on Marshall Street

A white, pink and black Avigo girls’ 24-inch bike was stolen from a back porch during the overnight hours on June 26.

The incident occurred in the 100 block of Marshall Street.

Public Urination at Taylor Alley and Bank Street

Shane Clarke, 21, of Lansdowne, received a citation after police saw him urinating in the municipal parking lot at Taylor Alley and Bank Street on June 26 at 1:06 a.m.
