Phoenixville Police Believe No One Was Injured in Northside Gunfire

The department is investigating the October 24 shooting.

The Phoenixville Police Department has launched an investigation into the gunshots they say were fired Wednesday night on the northside of the borough, according to Sergeant Joseph Nemic.

According to Nemic, on October 24 at 8:55 p.m., police were dispatched to the area of North Street and Penn Street after receiving a report of shots fired. When they arrived on the scene, Nemic said a large group of people ran from the area.

The department believes the shooter fired a handgun prior to fleeing. Detectives processed the scene that evening and recovered several cartridge cases.

Nemic added that the department has several leads they’re following up on, but nothing they can “get in to at this point.”
