100 Bags of Cocaine Found After Police Chase

Police say a driver tried to dump evidence after a traffic stop turns wild.

A 30-year-old Pottstown man is in Chester County Prison after East Pikeland Police say he led them on a chase following a traffic stop.

According to police, Joshua Warren, 30, stopped his car when East Pikeland Police pulled him over for a traffic violation. Police say Warren hit the gas when an officer got out of his police vehicle and started walking toward Warren's car.  According to police "East Pikeland Police assisted by West Pikeland Police stopped the defendant at Yellow Springs Road and Route 113."  It's not clear exactly how far the chase went or how long it lasted.

East Pikeland police say officers found 100 bags of cocaine they say were thrown out of Warren's car during the chase.

Warren is charged with multiple counts, including drug charges, fleeing and eluding police, and tampering with evidence.  He was arraigned in district court and ordered held on $25,000 bail pending a preliminary hearing.
