Lopez-Lopez, police say, had glassy and bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, and smelled like alcohol. When asked what happened, Lopez-Lopez explained, according to the affidavit of probable cause, “I left the club and I was too drunk, so I lost control of the steering wheel and crashed against the car.”

Police say Lopez was too intoxicated to attempt a field sobriety test. He was transported to Phoenixville Hospital to have blood drawn for testing, then transferred to the Schuylkill Township Police Department for processing.
