Lower Providence Police are looking for a man they say used a blue mounted dashboard light in his car to pull a local woman over on Evansburg Rd.

Authorities are currently seeking information about an alleged police impersonator possibly operating in the area.

According to the Lower Providence Police Department, a local woman was driving on Evansburg Road on Feb. 11, at approximately 9 p.m. when she was stopped by a man driving a small four-door vehicle with a blue dashboard-mounted light. The man reportedly activated his light and the woman pulled into a parking area at Evansburg Road and Germantown Pike.

The man, described as a white male in his fifties with short brown hair, was wearing a dark uniform with a patch on the sleeve, according to police. He did not show a badge. According to police, the man only engaged the woman in conversation.
