Police: Man Charged After Night Club Head-Butt

Edward Johnson, 27, faces assault charges stemming from the Club 212 incident.

A 27-year-old Norristown man was charged last weekend after he allegedly head-butted a man inside , are reporting.

Edward Johnson stands charged with simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness stemming from the August 18 incident.

According to court documents, at 2 a.m. that morning, a young man approached a patrol car outside the club and reported that Johnson had head-butted him inside the club. The officer noted the man was cut, swollen, and bleeding from the nose.

The officer talked to witnesses, who corroborated the story that Johnson had reared back and slammed his forehead into the bridge of the man’s nose.

When police located Johnson, he was visibly intoxicated and had injuries to his forehead from the alleged assault. He told authorities that he had attacked the man because he was “talking about him in reference to a female.”

Johnson faces preliminary hearing on September 27.
