Police: Man Flattened Hares Hill Road Mailbox, Was Arrested for DUI

The accident occurred on October 12.

A Spring City man was arrested for DUI last weekend after he crashed his truck into a mailbox on Hares Hill Road, East Pikeland Police are reporting.

The driver, 48, faces charges of DUI and careless driving stemming from the October 12 incident.

According to court documents, police were called to a home near the intersection of Hares Hill Road and Camp Council Road for a report of a one-vehicle accident at 8:38 p.m.

Upon arrival at the scene, police noted a Nissan had struck a mailbox and sustained significant front-end damage. The vehicle also had three flat tires.

The driver, police reported, seemed disoriented and handed them a credit card when he was asked for his drivers license and registration. The driver then failed two of three field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for DUI.

Of the 5 basic questions for reporting stories (Who, Why, When, Where, What) it looks like 'Who' is missing.

I can't blame them for leaving it out. There was a woman who was listed in another DUI report that got on the comments the other day and went crazy responding. This article has enough info as is... Another jerk decides their fun is more important than the lives of others. We have a serious, serious drunk driving problem in this area!!!

I really would like to know the 'WHO'. He/she got caught once, what about all the other times he/she did not get caught? Let me know the 'WHO' so I can stay clear of him/her on the hiway.
