A 25-year-old Phoenixville man was arrested last weekend after he wandered into a High Street home and, to the bafflement of its residents, raided the refrigerator, are reporting.
Terrence Branch, a resident of Eland Downe, was charged with burglary, criminal trespassing, theft, and receiving stolen property in connection with the incident.
According to court documents, on August 12 at 8:03 p.m., Phoenixville Police received report that a man wandered uninvited into a home on the 100 block of High Street, strolled into the kitchen, and helped himself to blueberries and a bottle of water from the refrigerator. The residents of the home told police they demanded the man leave, which he initially refused to do. When he finally left, he took the fruit and the drink with him.
After getting a description of the suspect, police found Terrence Branch sitting on a porch on the 200 block of High Street. He matched the description, and police noted he was eating blueberries and drinking a bottle of water.
Branch acknowledged he had entered the home without permission. The complainant also positively identified him as the intruder.
Branch was taken to Chester County Prison after he was unable to post bail.
