Police Seek Info on "Hot" Fireplace in East Pikeland

Police are seeking information on a theft that occurred in the township.

It’s seems to be a cumbersome thing to steal, but a thief or thieves in the Kimberton Meadows development pulled it off.

Between Feb. 16 and Feb. 25, a fireplace was removed from a home under construction on the 200 block of Clover Lane in the development. The cost of the fireplace with installation was estimated at $2,000.

The fireplace is black steel with a faux slate and brick interior with a firewood rack. It’s a Majestic brand, non-circulating radiant wood burning fireplace, model #SR42A. The fireplace opening is approximately 42 inches wide and two feet high. It weights between 100 – 150 pounds.
