Police: Woman in Lexus Chased Down Neighbor and Her Toddlers

She allegedly told police she was "suing [her neighbor] for one million dollars."

A Phoenixville woman faces multiple charges after a series of bizarre April incidents during which police say she chased down a neighbor and her two young boys in her Lexus in an apparent attempt to intimidate them.

On November 21, VL Laurie Williams, 54, was charged with three counts of simple assault, six counts of harassment, and two counts of stalking.

According to court documents, the trouble began on April 24 sometime before 6 p.m. when Williams’ neighbor, a resident of the unit block of Casselberry Lane, told police she went on a bicycle ride on her street with her two toddler sons attached in a trailer.

The woman that after they passed Williams standing in the driveway of her Spruce Grove Lane home, she got into her Lexus and began “flying” towards the three of them. The woman swerved out of the way and Williams passed, but then she turned around in the woman’s driveway and doubled back towards them. This time the Lexus came so close to the bike, the woman said there would have been a collision had she not pulled out of the way.

Later that evening, police interviewed Williams about the incident and, after they informed her there were children in the trailer she replied “who cares…[expletive] them.” She went on to tell the officer she was “suing them for a million dollars” because they were “trying to take her land rights away from her.”

On April 26, Williams is alleged to have done several three-point turn in the woman’s driveway, deliberately driving on her grass in the process. When Williams saw the woman had left her house and was standing in the driveway to watch her, Williams exited her car and began picking up sticks.

On April 29, a third incident is alleged to have occurred. The woman was walking with her sons when Williams began berating her, threatening that she was going to sue her for “one million dollars” and the family’s boat.

VL Laurie Williams faces preliminary hearing on December 6.

Did she tow the trailer with children on busy Whitehorse Road from Casselberry Lane to Spruce Grove Lane and why? This is an odd story that occurred in April, and only one side of an obviously biased report is published. Looking forward to the next installment.

Well, if it's the woman that carts around her kids in a trailer that goes to the Y, she's a wacko.....she's ignorant and acts like she owns the town - and is it the same Laurie Williams that used to sit on some kind of committee in the community? Wow, she sets a great example.

More erratic and dangerous behavior from our former township supervisor. I hope she gets medical help she surely needs.

Very odd all around. Not sure of the relevance of the make of car in the reporting. Would the crime have been less serious if she was driving a Prius?

"When Williams saw the woman left her house and stood in the driveway to watch her, she exited her car and began picking up sticks." I can't keep the 'hers' and 'shes' and 'the womans' straight so it's difficult to tell who did what to whom. Who is picking up sticks? Is the neighbor provoking her and then calling police when she gets a reaction? It's possible that Ms. Williams needs psychiatric help and she's not getting it. Thank goodness it's being broadcast here for all to read.

Wait, what, she wants the family boat, too? What a riot! I guess she needs somewhere to store all those sticks she's picking up. Ha!

Her volatile behavior would have been at least helping the environment.

Trying to hit someone with your car as it was described here sounds like attempted murder to me. She is lucky to only be facing simple assault, harassment, and stalking charges. This woman needs to be committed to a psych hospital or put in jail before she actually gets up enough nerve to follow through with her violent threats.

So according to you, riding your bike with your kids hitched to a "trailer" makes you a wacko? Dude, it you don't have anything worth while to add, just STFU!
SS November 28, 2012 at 06:50 PM
To you....1 - no the trailer does not make her wacko you fool, she's wacko in general as she walks around and pushes people out of her way like she's more important than everyone else, and the way she talks to people........that's what in my opinion makes her wacko. Now step off angry #1.

You are here beefing with an unnamed victim of crime who you think may be the same person you know from the YMCA but I'm the "angry" one? Please!
SS November 28, 2012 at 07:05 PM
Oh I'm not angry at all :).......I am voicing my opinion. Just like everyone else does.
