PPD: Man with Warrant Leads Police on Midnight Chase Through Borough

Phoenixville Police say the pursuit began on 12:50 a.m on January 12.

A 19-year-old borough man with an active warrant was chased down and arrested by Phoenixville Police on January 12, the department is reporting.

According to court documents, Ryan Matthew Stefanowski was spotted walking on Bridge Street at approximately 12:50 a.m.

When the man saw police, he took off running and hid somewhere in the area of the Foundry Building and Mill Street. At this point, multiple officers began a search for Stefanowski, before one observed him run from bushes on the south side of the Foundry Building toward Bridge Street.

Stefanowski eluded them, temporarily, until he was found hiding under a tarp on the back porch of a home on the unit block of Mill Street.

Stefanowksi, who was intoxicated, was taken into custody.

He was charged with defiant trespassing, loitering and prowling at night, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness, and underage drinking. He faces preliminary hearing on January 24.

Harry doesn't even live here. He's a sick sad man with nothing better to do but come on here and talk 'ish about p-ville. He probably is just bitter because his wife no longer touches or loves him and his kids probably don't ever call any more. Basically a pathetic human being, who has no place to criticize.

i am trying to liberate you from your lower class resignation and acceptance of a life less than acceptable to a normal person .perhaps you will open your eyes and flee to place of liberty

You people don't know anything about this individual. If we had more services for young adults like him, he wouldn't be lurking around the streets all hours of the night. This guy has had a rough life, lost his father when he was young, and does not have a home. He may have a sheet as long as his arm, but he has no one in his life to guide him in the right direction. So please if you want to see less "bums" as you put it on the streets, volunteer to help people like this, or help the community by providing these young adults with mentors that can lead to a path of success and a better life.
Signed someone who has taken in his brother

Thank you John. Bless you too. If I could take them all I would, they just need guidance and someone to say I care about you.

The owners also own Dany's Diner formerly the Paoli Diner, so this will not be their firstRead More successful venture. The area where La Taverna was situated has been remodeled & opened up into a Sports Bar with multiple big screen televisions, a dining area, a spot for live entertainment, as well as umbrella-ed tables for outdoor dining. A full menu is available in the bar during the diner's operating hours and scales down into a bar menu with a fine selection. Currently, the establishment is at the mercy of Harrisburg & patiently awaiting the transfer of the liquor license. As you enter through the main doors under the portico, you are greeted by friendly hostesses & the most scrumptious desserts one has ever seen. The baking is done in house and the portions are enormous for the price. A coffee bar is open during the morning hours for those on the go. Taking the place of the exercise room one can now enjoy a full diner menu with breakfast served ALL day long. The menu also includes tasty Greek delicacies including spinach pie and pastichio. For a new establishment with a new wait staff & cooks, the food was served hot & was absolutely delicious. All of the servers were extremely efficient & friendly considering the pace at which the diner filled up. Cash & credit are accepted. Also heard that there will be rooms available for business meeting, private dinners, & small parties! Perfect location with parking, delicious food, & friendly staff/owners!
