Putting The Fire In Perspective

Tuesday morning's fire across the street from the Black Rock Volunteer Fire Company could have been even worse than it was.

The intense heat from the two-alarm blaze was enough to melt a power meter and melt aluminum window coverings on the house next door. Firefighter battled the blaze for more than an hour. They saved the houses next door from also catching fire.
