A Phoenixville man robbed a teenager at gunpoint last week, police are reporting.
According to court documents, on January 30 at approximately 3:45 p.m. a 17-year-old male was approached by Dallas Jeffrey Young, 18, in front of a home on the 10 block of Penn Street.
The teen knew Young from previous encounters, and the pair spoke briefly before Young asked the victim to follow him to the back of the house. Once there, Young allegedly pulled out a black handgun and demanded the victim give him “everything he’s got.” The victim handed over $75 of the $95 he had, and told Young he needed the rest. Young repeated his demand and the teen handed over the last $20.
The victim was then told to leave, and he got in an awaiting vehicle and drove away. The victim told police he believed Young would have shot him if he hadn’t handed over his money.
Dallas Jeffrey Young was arrested on January 31 and charged with four felony counts of robbery, an additional felony charge for carrying a firearm without a license to do so, and six misdemeanors related to the alleged crime. He faces preliminary hearing on February 7.
