How well do you know the borough?

The Historical Society of the Phoenixville Area provided this photo. Can you name the spot where it was taken? Give the address or just name the building in the comments below, and we'll reveal the location next Monday at 5 a.m. Good luck!

This church was at the southwest corner of Third and Buttonwood - still standing as a private residence fronting on Buttonwood. The original entrance shown here was on Third, across from the addition to St. Ann's School. The steeple is gone and there's a small storefront there now, formerly Larry Schwartz' barbershop. If I recall correctly this church was built as the original Hungarian Reformed Church, now in the stone building at a nearby location as Parkside U.C.C.

Sacred Heart Church?

Mark, I'm sorry I referred to you as Larry in my reply. Mark is correct about identifying the original Hungarian Church and the present one as Parkside United Church of Christ at Third and Main, Phoenixville.

The Hungarian Reformed Church at Third Avenue and Buttonwood Street.
