Wells Fargo Robbed In E. Pikeland

Search is on for three masked gunmen in a heist that may be related to a Montco robbery last week.

Three masked gunmen are on the run after robbing the Wells Fargo Bank Branch at 200 Schuylkill Road in the Shoppes at Valley Forge Shopping Center. according to East Pikeland Police.

Police say three armed robbers displaying guns and wearing dark clothing, gloves and masks entered the bank at 10:57 a.m. and demanded money from a teller. No one was injured according to E. Pikeland Police Detective Cpl. Ben Martin.

The trio got away with an undisclosed amount of money. Martin tells Patch that they may have gotten into a light blue van.

Police say the robbery could be related to a bank heist last week in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County.

The case is being investigated by East Pikeland Police, Chester County Detectives and the FBI. More information on the search for the bandits is expected later Tuesday. Patch will update the story as more information becomes available.
