Army Officer From Pa. Killed in Afghanistan

An Army Special Forces officer from Pennsylvania has been killed in Afghanistan, the Department of Defense says.

Capt. Jason B. Jones, 29, was stationed out of Fort Bragg, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported

He died Monday in Jalalabad, Afghanistan, The Army Times is reporting.

Jones was from Orwigsburg, the Army Times said. He received his commission in 2007, the Inquirer said, and had previously been deployed to Iraq.

Jones' death is under investigation, the Inquirer said, but the DOD is citing "wounds received from small-arms."
