Council President Kirkner Explains Recent Absences

The borough council president was not present at the body's August or September meetings.

Phoenixville Borough Council president Richard Kirkner explained his absence from the council’s August and September meetings on Tuesday night.

Kirkner, who was replaced by vice-president Michael Speck during the two meetings, said he had a family commitment that precluded him from presiding over the August meeting and a business engagement that kept him from September’s.

“This is not a full time job for us,” he explained at the October 9 meeting.
