Drucker Concedes to Kampf, Says 'Fight is Not Over'

The Democrat fell by just over 1,000 votes in his bid to represent the 157th District.

Paul Drucker, the Democratic candidate for state Representative in the 157th District, fell to incumbent Republican Warren Kampf yesterday by a 1,002 vote margin.

A former state Rep., Drucker told Patch this would be his last run for the seat.

On November 7, he released the following statement, conceding defeat:

It was a hard fought campaign, but we came up short. I am proud of the campaign we built and hope Representative Kampf will work in Harrisburg to represent all of the district. This fight is not over and the work continues to make sure our schools have the funding they need, that women’s rights are respected, and that gas companies are paying their fair share.

Despite tonight’s loss, I would like to thank all of the voters who turned out to support me today. I would also like to thank my family, my campaign team and all of the volunteers who worked so tirelessly for our campaign.

I am proud to have fought for my community as both an elected official and a private citizen, and I have no plans to stop. Is it an honor to serve this community.

@Richard H. There is an old saying you may know. If you repeat a lie often enough, it becomes the truth — Goebbels Besides the Kampf campaign literature, where and when, exactly did Paul Drucker support a toll for 422? I have checked the internet for this "plan" of his you speak of and it is no where to be found. You would think there was a youtube video with Paul Drucker having a "read my lips" moment regarding 422, but it's not there either. There once was a commission that was pushing the toll idea to gap the lack of funds needed for repair and improvements for 422. Are referring to this plan? Maybe you should take a break from the political scene for a while like your good friend Jack?

James Smith: I'm speechless. It took me two seconds on Google to find this. I hope it's clear enough for you: http://chic.clipsyndicate.com/video/play/2156282/paul_drucker_discusses_the_tolling_of_422

James Smith -- I know from the literature I received from the Kampf campaign on Drucker tolling 422, they included a Times Herald news article and headline. See here (a google search in about 2 minutes): http://www.timesherald.com/article/20100409/NEWS01/304099978/0/SEARCH/rep-paul-drucker-favors-422-tolling-(video) and in a news article here: http://www.timesherald.com/article/20100408/NEWS01/304089970/0/SEARCH/state-rep-paul-drucker-pushes-for-route-422-tolling The only one lying about 422 was Paul Drucker when he tried to fool us this year and say he didn't support it and never did.
