Rep. Warren Kampf (R-157th) has been named the State Official of the Year by Pennsylvania Bio.

“This is a very special honor from some of the most vital job creators in our commonwealth,” Kampf said.

The award recognizes a commonwealth official who has distinguished himself or herself as a leader in the bioscience industry. Kampf is co-chairman of the House Life Sciences Caucus.

“Rep. Kampf’s leadership and unwavering attention to the life sciences, jobs and innovation demonstrate his support to our industry,” said Christopher P. Molineaux, president and CEO of Pennsylvania Bio.

Pennsylvania Bio was founded 20 years ago by a group of biotech CEOs, and today represents all life science industries in Pennsylvania.

Kampf received his award at Pennsylvania Bio's annual dinner at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.
