If you live in the 157th Legislative District, you may recently have received a political attack mailer against State Rep. Warren Kampf. While this might be odd since Rep. Kampf doesn’t have a primary election opponent, it shouldn't be surprising. This mailer is just another negative political ad from Paul Drucker. And the fact that these attacks started so early in the year for what will be a November election is even more absurd and offensive.

State records prove that, in the 2008 and 2010 elections, Mr. Drucker and his political allies spent nearly $1.5 MILLION on his campaigns—to win a job that pays $80,000. And most of what they spent was for negative attack ads, most of which weren't even true. And so it begins again. Unbelievable!

I am disgusted that Mr. Drucker has chosen to start 2012 with another negative campaign ad. How any rational voter can think this is OK is beyond comprehension. How any rational voter can endorse and vote for this behavior defies common sense and logic.

During the 2011 state budget process Mr. Drucker put out a letter attacking Representative Kampf for supporting a realistic state budget that dealt with the loss of billions of dollars of federal stimulus money and closed budget deficits caused by Drucker's own spending and borrowing during his tenure in the state House. In that letter, Mr. Drucker called for more spending—$700 million more—saying the state had a "surplus." In fact, it didn't. Even worse, despite conservative estimates, Pennsylvania still lags $500 million behind in revenues. This means if Mr. Drucker had his way, we would be facing a $1.2 BILLION deficit today. Would he do that with his own money? He is more than willing to do it with the taxpayer's.

After two ugly, negative campaigns and after two years in the state House in which he raised spending, increased debt and voted for a billion dollar tax increase, Paul Drucker is treating us to more of the same mudslinging and lies. He surely didn’t represent anyone I know but did represent a lot of very special interests and donors.

Paul Drucker had his chances to be fiscally responsible and run legitimate campaigns, and he failed miserably on both counts. I won't vote for Paul Drucker with a record like that for any position he might desire. We’ve done a lot better, and hopefully we’ll continue to do so.
