The Phoenixville Borough Government's planned move into the new Borough Hall has been moved back one week to August 12.
Township officials had announced an earlier moving date of August 5 during the July meeting of the Borough Council.
A borough clerk confirmed the new date to Patch Thursday morning. Specifics about the delay were not immediately available but work inside the new building appears to need more time.
On Wednesday, one worker on the construction site told Patch that phone lines in and out of the building had not been hooked up yet. That could mean alarm system could not be hooked up yet. He told Patch that could delay the issuing of an occupancy permit.
Work on the new Borough Hall adjacent to District Court 15-2-01 began in June of 2012.
