How it affects residents: Council will be addressing the project in the future, Tuesday's presentation was just a preliminary look at the possibilities.

New Trash Ordinance Passed

What happened: Council passed an amendment to the borough ordinance concerning trash pickup.

How it affects residents: New trash toters and rules are coming to the borough.

Heated Discussion On New Borough Hall

What happened: Plans for the new borough hall came under fire from several council members. The biggest concern is accessibility for handicapped borough residents, as the handicapped parking spaces are on the side of the building and the entrance is in the front.

The discussion veered toward putting a hold on the construction project and holding a public meeting,  but the motion failed 3-5 , with Council President Kirkner, Councilman Christopher Bauers and Councilwoman Dana Dugan voting yea.

How it affects residents: The current plan does not affect residents as the financing has already been planned and budgeted.
