Phoenixville has New Leaders at the Top

Familiar faces take on new jobs at the top of Phoenixville Borough government.

Phoenixville government has new people at the top. They are familiar faces but they are taking on new roles following the November elections.

Following Monday night's special reorganization meeting, the Borough of Phoenixville has a new mayor, Borough Council president and council vice president as well new members of the Borough Council.

Former East District Councilman Michael Speck is Phoenixville's new Mayor. He succeeds long-time Mayor Leo Scoda who did not run for re-election in November.

During a special meeting Monday night council members also voted to appoint James Kovaleski as Council President and Councilwoman Dana Dugan as Vice President.
