Volunteers Needed for Arbor Day Tree Planting

The Borough will be planting 20 trees on the morning of Saturday, April 20th in celebration of Arbor Day. The trees were purchased through a grant from the Pennsylvania Horticulture Society in conjuction with their TreeVitalize program and Plant One Million campaign. Trees will be planted on streets in the Borough and in Reeves Park.

The volunteer group will meet at Reeves Park at 9 am where representatives from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and the Borough will read an Arbor Day Proclamation. This will be followed by a demonstration planting after which the group will split up and plant the other 19 trees.
