Where can you find the best preschool in Phoenixville?

Patch is relaunching its Readers’ Choice program and we’re asking you, your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, and anyone else who knows the about the Phoenixville area to nominate the best spots in Phoenixville Patch.

We’ll keep accepting nominations through July 9. After that, nominations will be closed and we’ll start the voting, so make sure to get in your favorites now.

Charlestown Playhouse for sure. You will not find a more passionate group of people that love and care for your children. You will also not find the extreme wealth of community, support, friendship and generosity from families. Children and adults grow with love and patience every day!

Charlestown Playhouse, absolutely. Great community, incredible dedicated staff, brilliant educational program, gorgeous facilities. Can't say enough good things about it.

I have to agree that Charlestown Playhouse is definitely the best. As a worry wort Mommy, I have always felt very secure sending my son there. I know he will be taken care of and respected in the manner that I would like. And he is happy and can get dirty and feel safe there. I don't have enough wonderful things to say about this school and the .amazing staff!

Charlestown Playhouse! Words can not express what this school is about. This is the most amazing preschool - best ever by far. The staff is perfect and the community is out of this world. A place where it certainly does take a village, and it is done to perfection!

Charlestown Playhouse...I cried the first week I took my kid to school there. It's magical and she loves it. I had her in a different school prior to Charlestown; she rarely wanted to go. Since switching to Charlestown, she wants to go to school everyday. She loves it and so do I. PS...I also never knew my kid could get so dirty...they let them be kids at Charlestown Playhouse!

I am grateful for my time at Miss Betty's Playschool in the early 1960s and for its formative influences on me, my siblings, and our friends. Charlestown Playhouse carries on that tradition of excellence. I know of nothing comparable, anywhere.

Charlestown Playhouse is great! I sent my three kids there and we have learned so much about the importance of community.

Charlestown Playhouse! This is a magical place where children are respected and loved and encouraged to engage in the important 'work' of PLAY! The community is amazing, the staff and all of our fellow playschool families have enriched our lives in countless ways.

I don't know if anyone else has mentioned Charlestown Playhouse yet ;). This place is AMAZING! I mean my kid really looks forward to going to school every morning and gets sad on the weekends, When have you heard tha beforet? Like everyone else has mentioned the kids are respected and they are encouraged to be their own person, and it's all through play! They learn at their own pace and learn problem solving skills as well as the value of community. We are so very lucky to have found this place and plan on being there for a long time.

Charlestown Playhouse by far! I know others have already said this, but the place is truly magical! I am so grateful that we found playschool and wish we found it sooner. The school is so intune with the social, emotional and developmental needs of children. The best part is my son cannot wait to come to school each day, which is so comforting as a mom. The staff and community is amazing!

Charlestown Playhouse! This is a school where everything from the expansive grounds to the classroom learning environment to the carefully planned educational activities is designed to facilitate learning through play and exploration. Each day is exciting and fun! In addition, the staff is nurturing and posi
tive, as well as professional, and each teacher genuinely enjoys children. Playschool also provides opportunities for parent s to be involved with the school and to get to know each other. This school is one of a kind - unique and very special!

Without a doubt, Charlestown Playhouse is the best preschool out there. I tell people to move here so that their kids can attend! This school provides the most gratifying and age appropriate experience for young children and it lays the foundation for a lifetime of happy relationships and community. My daughter has been out of preschool/kindergarten for 2 years, but we will always consider ourselves part of the community.

Charlestown Playhouse is the best place for all kids to learn and grow.

Charlestown Playhouse - amazing teachers with lots of experience and knowledge, beautiful grounds (with real outdoor space!), great philosophy re: children and what they need, and a lot of opportunities to create community with other parents in the area. We are going on our fifth year there......

Holy Family. Mrs. Lickfeld is the best!

Charlestown Playhouse is amazing! So happy to be part of such a great community there and to have my children play and explore there.

Charlestown Playhouse has been our family tradition for 3 generations now! This school is one of those gems where both children and parents learn and play together.

Charlestown Playhouse cooperative-the best place to learn by our motto"play, play, play". It's where everyone becomes family! We love it and continue to support it-The Trevelino's

Charlestown Playhouse is the best preschool in the State! All three of our children attended years ago. Now my grandson attends and the only issue is getting him to come home at the end of the day.
Faith Koons July 7, 2012 at 02:54 am
Charlestown Playhouse! Having attended myself as a child I knew it was where I wanted my daughters to attend and we were lucky enough to still live nearby so they could. My children each had a memorable 4 years there with loving, nurturing teachers in their awesome hands-on, play-based program. And because it's a parent co-op, I became a better (& more patient) parent by observing the masterful teachers with the children in each of the classrooms where I helped. It is a gem of a school which offers a warm friendly community for all families.

Charlestown Payhouse is a gift to the Phoenixville area. My three children went there in the late 80's and early 90's. Now my grandson goes there. It is the same happy, caring, fun, pre-school today. The best outside play yard ever!
Bethany July 7, 2012 at 11:44 pm
Charlestown Playhouse.. duh! I may decide to have more kids just so I can keep sending them here... well, maybe not, but I love this place SOO much!
Dina July 8, 2012 at 03:46 pm
After looking at many schools in the Phoenixville area, Charlestown Playhouse is where my daughter felt most comfortable and where I felt most at ease sending her each day. The staff and teachers are amazing, they provide such a nurturing environment and let our kids be kids- what more could you ask for!

Best playschool in the world!
Fantastic interaction with the world of nature-helps develop a healthy mind and body, respect for all and the "wild things"; a creative approach to problem solving. Appreciation and compassion for other cultures and values in this wonderful world.

We loved our experience at Charlestown Playhouse. They were wonderful with our Autistic son. We can't wait till our youngest is old enough to attend. We highly recommend them!

The owners also own Dany's Diner formerly the Paoli Diner, so this will not be their firstRead More successful venture. The area where La Taverna was situated has been remodeled & opened up into a Sports Bar with multiple big screen televisions, a dining area, a spot for live entertainment, as well as umbrella-ed tables for outdoor dining. A full menu is available in the bar during the diner's operating hours and scales down into a bar menu with a fine selection. Currently, the establishment is at the mercy of Harrisburg & patiently awaiting the transfer of the liquor license. As you enter through the main doors under the portico, you are greeted by friendly hostesses & the most scrumptious desserts one has ever seen. The baking is done in house and the portions are enormous for the price. A coffee bar is open during the morning hours for those on the go. Taking the place of the exercise room one can now enjoy a full diner menu with breakfast served ALL day long. The menu also includes tasty Greek delicacies including spinach pie and pastichio. For a new establishment with a new wait staff & cooks, the food was served hot & was absolutely delicious. All of the servers were extremely efficient & friendly considering the pace at which the diner filled up. Cash & credit are accepted. Also heard that there will be rooms available for business meeting, private dinners, & small parties! Perfect location with parking, delicious food, & friendly staff/owners!
