CAT Pickering to Host Open House

will host its winter open house for prospective students on Thursday, Jan. 26, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The school is located at 1580 Charlestown Road in Phoenixville.

Students and family members who attend the open house will be able to tour the building, see program demonstrations, meet teachers and current students and speak with the school's admissions team while enjoying light refreshments presented by Culinary Arts students.

CAT Pickering is a comprehensive, public high school specializing in career and technical education. The programs offered at CAT Pickering prepare students for success in college, the workplace and in life.

The school offers the following career and technical programs for high school students:

• Animal Science Technology;
• Applied Engineering Technology; 
• Automotive Service Technology; 
• Automotive Collision Technology; 
• Carpentry; Commercial and Graphic Art;
• Computer Information Systems; 
• Cosmetology;

• Culinary Arts; 
• Early Childhood Care and Education;

• Teacher Academy; 
• and the school’s newest program, Sustainable Energy Engineering.

With the exceptions of Allied Health Science Technology and the Teacher Academy, all career and technical programs offered at CAT Pickering are high-priority occupations, aligned to Pennsylvania State Standards, as well as national industry certifications.

CAT Pickering serves students from Downingtown Area, Great Valley, Owen J. Roberts, Phoenixville Area, Tredyffrin/Easttown, and West Chester Area school districts.
