Chester County Invites Kindergartners to Collect Cans for Cash

A prize of $300 will go to the top collector.

Here’s one contest for some local kids with a can do attitude.

Kindergarteners throughout the county are being asked to collect aluminum cans for the Chester County Solid Waste Authority, the department announced in a recent press release. The most prolific young recyclers will win cash prizes, with $300 going to the top collector.

In addition, each child in the winning class will receive a beanbag replica of Chester County’s own recycling mascot, Reecie Recycle.
