CAT Pickering Health Programs Open House

Phoenixville, PA – The Center for Arts & Technology (CAT) Pickering Campus will host a spring open house event for students interested in learning more about the school's three health-related programs. The event will take place on Tuesday, April 24, from 6:15 until 8:00 p.m. The school is located at 1580 Charlestown Road in Phoenixville.

Students and family members who attend the April 24 event will have a chance to explore in depth the school’s three health-related programs: Allied Health Science Technology, Health Career Academy (Pre-Nursing), and Health Occupations. At this event, students will meet the instructors, learn about job opportunities, and hear from a guest speaker in the medical field.

CAT Pickering is a comprehensive, public high school specializing in career and technical education. The programs offered at CAT Pickering prepare students for success in college, the workplace and in life.

The school offers the following career and technical programs for high school students: Allied Health Science Technology; Animal Science Technology; Applied Engineering Technology; Automotive Collision Technology; Automotive Service Technology; Carpentry; Commercial & Graphic Arts; Computer Information Systems; Cosmetology; Criminal Justice; Culinary Arts; Early Childhood Care & Education; Electronic Systems Technology; Engine Technology; Health Career Academy (coming fall of 2012); Health Occupations; Sustainable Energy Engineering; and the Teacher Academy.

Most career and technical programs offered at CAT Pickering are high-priority occupations, aligned to Pennsylvania State Standards, as well as national industry certifications.

CAT Pickering serves students from Great Valley, Owen J. Roberts, Phoenixville Area, and Tredyffrin/Easttown school districts.
