Host Phantoms Win Phoenixville Invitational
The annual tennis tournament raised over $2,000 for Phoenixville Hospital's Cancer Patient Assistance program.
On their home court on Friday, the Phantoms tennis team topped Villa Maria by a point to win the Phoenixville Invitational Tennis Tournament, The Times Herald is reporting.
Phoenixville edged Villa 14-13 in final team standings to claim their third title in the 17th annual tournament.
The Phantoms weren’t the only winners though; for the 11th year in a row the tournament raised money for the Cancer Patient Assistance program at . This year’s iteration has brought in, so far, over $2,000. In the events’ history, over $45,000 has been collected.
