PAMS Choir Votes and Votes and Votes

A huge cash prize and the performance opportunity of a lifetime hang in the balance.

Friday morning is a big moment for the 224 students in the Phoenixville Middle School 7th and 8th Grade Choir.

The singers, and virtually everyone else in the school community have worked hard, sung their hearts out and worked their fingers like crazy to win the B101 Radio Christmas Choir Competition.  It all comes down to whether or not PAMS got more votes between 7a.m. and 9 p.m. Thursday to beat out Delaware County Christian School and Haverford Middle School.

Virtually every class in every subject spent at least a few minutes voting Thursday. Dozens of iPads were set up in the lunchroom to allow students to each take a turn voting and several teachers made "go home and vote, vote, vote" their homework assignments.

At stake is a $5,000 cash prize and a chance for the PAMS Choir to appear on stage next week with the Philly Pops Orchestra.
