Phoenixville Kids Inducted into Science Honor Society

The Devon Prep students were honored at a recent ceremony.

Three Phoenixville residents were among the 14 students Devon Preparatory School recently inducted into the Science National Honor Society (SNHS).

Juniors Sean J. Bevan, Andrew A Bright, and Jason Sadek, each of Phoenixville, were honored at the ceremony, which was held on the Devon Prep campus.

According to a release from the school:

The Science National Honor Society was organized 12 year ago to encourage participation in and recognition of scientific and intellectual thought; advance student knowledge of classical and modern science; aid the civic community with its comprehension of science; and encourage students to participate in community service. In order to qualify for membership in the Society each student had to: receive credit for at least one AP science course, enroll in at least a single second year AP science course during or before senior year, and maintain a B+ average in all science courses. In their oath the new members pledged to represent the academic goals of the Society, participate in community service, and “encourage the pursuit of scientific knowledge that benefits all mankind.”

Great job boys. It is nice to see articles about student achievements. Devon Prep is a fantastic school and a great option for those in Phoenixville who are concerned about the quality of education their children receive in the middle and high schools.

Great work kids! To tie this into the other story, let's ask these kids how much impact their gym teacher had on their achivements.
