District Choir Students Come to Phoenixville for A Saturday Concert.

The following information was sent to Patch by the Phoenixvile Area School District:

If you h are hearing beautiful music, chances are it’s coming from the Phoenixville Area Middle School auditorium. PASD is proudly hosting 162 students from 30 schools who are participating in a two-day District 12 Chorus festival. Among this prestigious group are Danielle Avicolli, Eli Brown, and Chris Fitting from Phoenixville Area High School.Students are chosen to be part of the chorus following a rigorous audition process.

 The two day event will culminate with a concert on Saturday at 2:00 PM. Tickets are only $5 and can be purchased at the door.The talented vocalists are under the direction of Australian born conductor Heather J. Buchanan. Dr. Buchanan is currently an Associate Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities at Montclair State University.

 A vibrant teacher, dynamic performer, and passionate musicians’ health advocate, Dr. Buchanan is in demand as a guest conductor and clinician in the U.S. and abroad.Dr. Randi Carp, PAHS Choir Director described the event as a “wonderful opportunity to showcase Phoenixville music and our beautiful auditorium”.
