School District Files for Possession of Meadowbrook Golf Club

Meadowbrook Golf Club will have five days to respond.

Phoenixville Area School Board has voted to take immediate possession of Meadowbrook Golf Club.

The vote at the board's Monday meeting was 7 to 0, The Times Herald reported. Two board members were absent.

A Chester County judge in June ruled that the district could seize the golf club property through eminent domain, The Daily Local News said, but the club has continued to operate.
