Special Meeting for Spring-Ford School Board Candidates

Eight will be interviewed at an October 11 special meeting.

The Spring-Ford Area School Board will interview eight community members who are interested in filling a vacancy on the Board of Directors during a special meeting that will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11 in the Spring-Ford Area Senior High School cafeteria, located at 350 S. Lewis Road in Royersford.

Interested candidates are applying for the recently vacated Region 1 seat, which encompasses Upper Providence Township - Mingo 1 and 2, Mont Clare, Oaks and Trappe. The position opened after long-serving member David Shafer resigned to relocate to Miami, Fla.

Each candidate will be given 20 minutes to answer the board’s various questions. Candidates will also have an opportunity to ask the board questions they have about the position.
