They made Pilgrim and Native American hats that were worn during their special feast. After learning about the First Thanksgiving, the students read the story Stone Soup.  They were asked to compare the First Thanksgiving and the story Stone Soup, focusing on characters, setting and details.

Then, students discussed ingredients needed to make their own stone soup, each choosing an ingredient to bring. Through a writing activity students made invitations inviting members of the faculty to share in their feast.
