4th Annual Woofs 4 Hoofs Cancer Walk
Please join us with your horses, dogs, family and friends for a walk through the beautiful trails at Marsh Creek State Park. Marsh Creek is in the rolling hills of north central Chester County.
The 1,727-acre park contains the 535-acre Marsh Creek Lake, which is great for fishing, sailing and is a rest stop for migrating waterfowl. There is no set time, distance or pressure to walk. You can just enjoy the views, play football or enjoy lying on a blanket. Later, enjoy a picnic lunch provided by us which includes a hotdog, snack and bottled water. There are picnic tables available but you may want to bring a blanket as well. Children will enjoy the “Paint a Horse Shoe for Good Luck” craft activity, face painting, balloon animals, music, and prize spin wheel. Dogs will receive a pink bandana and horses will receive an apple. Dogs must be on a leash and handlers responsible for cleaning up after their dog. Plenty of horse trailer parking and designated trails for horses.
Our 2010 event was held at Warwick County Park and attracted over 100 people and the Pottstown Mercury featured the event. We hope to have an even bigger event this year! Marsh Creek Park is located about two miles west of the village of Eagle on PA 100. Access to the park from the Downingtown Exit 312 of the Pennsylvania Turnpike is via PA 100 north. At Eagle, signs direct you to the park.
