Garrett Serwatka, Ed McCarthy, Jordan Valenteenm and David Rosati earned fifth-place finishes in the PAC-10 championship.

Despite a ninth-place team finish at Saturday’s PAC-10 wrestling championship at Boyertown High School, four Phantoms will advance to the district round, The Phoenix is reporting.

Sophomore Garrett Serwatka (106 pounds), senior Ed McCarthy (113 pounds), senior Jordan Valenteen (195 pounds) and sophomore David Rosati (285 pounds) each earned fifth-pace finishes for Phoenixville, just enough to advance to the district round next weekend at Spring-Ford.

Phoenixville coach Joe Youngblood said he was pleasantly surprised by the performance of the quartet, but singled out heavyweight David Rosati for praise.
