Fireworks: Find Local Displays

Want to know where to find fireworks in the Philadelphia area?

Make a wish on our nation’s 237th birthday with some Roman candles.  

Below is the list of regional fireworks displays and the major displays in Philadelphia.

The Wawa Welcome America! bash will provide a stellar lineup of celebrations from July 1 to July 7 to commemorate Independence Day. On July 4, the festivities will kick off at 10 a.m. on the steps of Independence Hall. The day will be filled with activities ranging from a parade to a free concert featuring performers including The Roots, John Mayer and Demi Lovato. A vibrant fireworks show will wrap up the evening at 10:30 p.m. outside the Philadelphia Art Museum.

But if the venture into the city isn’t ideal, there are plenty of other options right in your backyard.      

Wednesday, July 3

“Celebrate America” Fireworks and Fountains features patriotic tunes among bushels of flowers.

Where: Longwood Gardens 1001 Longwood Road Kennett Square

When:  9:15 p.m.

Cost: Ages 16 & older- $38, Members ages 16 & older- $31, Ages 15 & under- $22, Members ages 15 & under- $18

Longwood Gardens will also show fireworks on July 20 and August 31.


Thursday, July 4

Fourth of July Fireworks ring in the holiday with food, games and music.

Where: Radnor High School, 130 King of Prussia Rd, Wayne

When: Gates open at 6:30 p.m., fireworks start at dusk

Cost: Group car- $12 in advance, $20 at gate; Adult/teen- $6 in advance, $10 at gate; Child under 13- $3 in advance, $5 at gate.


Summer in the Park: Chester County Concert Band and Fireworks

Where: Shire Pavilion, Wilson Farm Park, 500 Lee Rd # 799, Wayne

When: 7 p.m.

Cost: Free


The 16th Annual 4th of July Fireworks Show in Phoenixville will host an array of food vendors.

Where: Friendship Field, Franklin Ave & Fillmore St, Phoenixville, PA

When: 7 p.m., fireworks start at dusk.

Cost: Free


Good Neighbor Day in Downingtown comprises races, crafts, food, music, carnival rides and fireworks in a day-long gala.

Where: Kerr Park, 1 Park Lane, Downingtown

When: All day; fireworks start at dusk.

Cost: Varies


A July 4th Celebration in Narberth provides entertainment for the whole family from the morning until the sun goes down.

Where: Narberth Playground, 100 Conway Ave, Narberth

When: Daytime activities from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.; nighttime activities start at 7:30 p.m., fireworks begin around 9:30 p.m.

Cost: Free
