Phoenixville Karate Campers Get Their Licks In

Summer Campers from Phoenix Karate on Bridge Street ended a swimming field trip with a visit to Brown's Cow on Main Street Friday afternoon.

Karate Studio owner and camp leader Neil Phelan says the camp goes all summer and features different field trips along with martial arts classes.

The karate kids kept Brown Cow's Sara Gilbert scooping in a post-lunch ice cream rush hour. The Browns Cow scooper just graduated from Phoenixville High School and is headed to Wilkes University this fall, along with several scholarships she earned for classroom work and her efforts in the community.
