This Phoenixville Camp is Unforgettable

Camp Unforgettable still has a few spots available for 7-12 year-olds.

The name of the summer program is Camp Unforgettable and for 24 Phoenixville Area campers (they still have room for a few more) that's what the first seven days have been.

The campers, ages 7-12 meet every weekday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Reeves Park. The camp is project of the Phoenixville Borough Parks and Recreation Department and Phoenixville Communities that Care.

It's a chance for local kids to get out of the house, stay active doing fun activities and even enjoy a free lunch (provided by Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia).

The camp started last week and runs through August 2.  During the first week campers campaigned for elected positions in an exercise that had them come up with a campaign, make speech and then vote. The winners were announced Monday afternoon during a camp session forced indoors at the nearby Civic Center gym due to rain.

The camp still has a few slots open at a cost of $50 a week. You can call 610-933-7728, extension 1 for more information about signing your 7-12 year old up.
