What's Closed on the Fourth of July in Phoenixville?

Several locations will be closed in observance of the holiday.

The Fourth of July brings fireworks, celebrations, barbecues as well as several closings in Phoenixville.

The following locations will be closed for the holiday:

  • Banks–Many banks in the area will be closed for the day.
  • Government offices– The Phoenixville Borough and Schuylkill Township offices will be closed as well as the federal offices and Chester County offices.
  • Libraries - The Phoenixville Public Library will be closed. 
  • Liquor stores - All Pennsylvania liquor stores will be closed.
  • Post offices–All post offices will be closed in observance of the holiday.
  • Transportation– PennDOT offices and Drivers License Centers will be closed. SEPTA will run on a Sunday schedule, but the transit agency is running special trains and busses for the Welcome America festivities in Center City Philadelphia. Click here to view the full SEPTA schedule.
