Firebird Festival Launches Fundraising Website

With the clock ticking, the festival is hoping to raise $10,000.

The Firebird Festival has risen from the ashes and will be held after all.... in less than three months.

Organizers have a location with the approval of Friendship Field last week by the Borough Council.  Now the event needs money to fuel the Festival, which culminates with the burning of a huge wooden Phoenix.

Organizers hope to raise $10,000 in the next 60 days. The campaign started Wednesday on the Indiegogo fundraising website.  The Firebird Festival is hoping people will donate as much as they can to help meet the goal.

I addition to the donation site, the organizers have a separate site that asks for the public to join the conversation and offer ideas about a Festival theme, mission statement, the festival's events and more.  Click here to read how you can help.
