Five Holiday Events on Saturday and Sunday in Phoenixville

If you’re looking to get out of the house and into the holiday spirit this weekend, you won’t have to go far.

Here’s a quick look at five local events coming up in the Phoenixville area over the next two days. This is definitely not an exhaustive list—there are plenty of other holiday-related events in the area, so be sure to check out the Phoenixville Patch events calendar.

What: Each year Brad Peck displays the intricate, musical miniature village he constructed with the help of his grandson Andy. If you’ve never made it out there, it’s free and a big hit with kids. See some scenes from last year’s iteration of the village in the video attached to this article.

When: Saturdays and Sundays from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. This season kicks off Dec. 3.

Where: 970 Township Line Road, Phoenixville (in Westridge Estates)

Cost: Free, and donations are not accepted.

What: Kids can enjoy cereal with toppings with the big guy in the red suit, along with special guests. The event also features face-painting and other children’s activities.

When: Saturday, Dec. 3, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Where: 1, 177 Church St., Phoenixville

Cost: $5, payable at the door

Phoenixville Federal Children’s Christmas Party

What: Catch the holiday classic “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” at this annual event sponsored by Phoenixville Federal Bank and Trust.

When: Saturday, Dec. 3 at 2 p.m.

Where: , 227 Bridge St., Phoenixville

Cost: Tickets are free but must be picked up in advance at a Phoenixville Federal location.

Renaissance Academy Presents “The Nutcracker”

What: In its fifth year, this is the annual production of “The Nutcracker,” performed by The Renaissance Academy Ballet Theater. This year, the event will feature new set pieces and new costumes, so even if you attended in past years, this production promises to be something special.

When: , 1200 Gay St., Phoenixville

When: Friday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 3 at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Cost: Tickets are first-come, first-served at the door for $10 and seating is general admission.

What: Peek into 11 borough homes to see how they’ve decorated for the holidays and what the homes look like on the inside. Proceeds benefit The Clinic and the Phoenixville Public Library. Pick up guides at Phoenixville Senior Center and then head on your way, at your leisure over the four-hour window.

When: Saturday, Dec. 3 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Cost: Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 the day of the tour.
